Hyperpigmentation Treatment

Hyperpigmentation occurs when brown spots appear on the skin, and can occur in all kinds of skin. As a result of genetic factors and exposure to the sun, these pigmented bits of skin can be a sign of aging. However, they don’t have to be permanent! We can reverse hyperpigmentation through treatments with chemical peels, lasers, exfoliation techniques and medical grade skincare products

Crave Med Spa has physicians who are happy to help you in achieving evenly toned skin. Contact us, we’ll discuss your options, and schedule a complimentary consultation today.

Skin inflammation

Darker areas of skin appear after people have had skin inflammation. This can include eczema, acne, lupus, or an injury to the skin. People with darker skin are more likely to develop a case of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Melasma

Darker patches of skin form when people experience changes in their hormones. This type of hyperpigmentation is typically common during pregnancy.

It may take three to 24 months to disappear completely, although it may take longer in some instances. The time it takes to disappear relies on how dark the place is compared to the skin around it.
